This policy explains how Apecs.S d.o.o. (hereinafter “we” or “the controller”) processes the personal data of visitors to this website in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we process

When you fill in a contact form or the catalogue download form, we process the data you provide to us:

• full name,
• phone number,
• email address,
• country,
• purpose of purchasing the hardware (for your own needs, for your own production, or interest in distribution),
• preferred language for consultation,
• the content of your message and the product you are enquiring about.

In addition, technical data (IP address, browser type, time of visit) is collected automatically through cookies when you visit the website, as described in Section 6.

3. Purpose and legal basis of processing

We use the data from the form solely to prepare a quote and respond to your enquiry, and we may contact you by phone or email for this purpose. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

If you request the catalogue, we also use your email address to automatically send you a message with a link to the APECS product catalogue. The legal basis for this is the consent you give by submitting the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Based on the same data, we may also contact you by phone or email to advise you on choosing hardware and to prepare a quote.

4. Recipients of data

Data from the form is forwarded via the Telegram service to our account manager, who handles the enquiry. In doing so, the data is transferred to Telegram’s servers. We do not sell your data or pass it on to third parties for their own purposes.

The website and the mailbox from which we send the catalogue are hosted by an external web hosting and email service provider, which acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Where the provider’s servers are located outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is based on standard contractual clauses.

For web analytics and advertising, we use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). It is loaded only after you consent to cookies. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA on the basis of appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses).

5. Retention period

We keep the data from your enquiry for as long as necessary to handle your request and for any business cooperation that may follow, after which we delete it, unless the law requires a longer retention period.

6. Cookies

The website uses necessary cookies for its operation, as well as analytics and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel), which are loaded only after your consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser. On certain subpages (for example, the catalogue page) we use a separate Meta Pixel, but with the same purpose and the same processor.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• the right of access to your data,
• rectification of inaccurate data,
• erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”),
• restriction of processing,
• objection to processing,
• data portability,
• withdrawal of consent.

To exercise your rights, write to us at info@apecs.si. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (ip-rs.si).

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
